Sequin-Tooth Tiger is a collection that combines distinctly man-made elements and technologies, such as ornate beading and rapid prototyping, alongside earthy materials and lo-fi hand techniques. It seeks to create a small world of intricate pieces that initially appear as though they could have evolved in the natural environment, but upon closer inspection are comprised of sequin shapes and faceted stones.
I imagine a Sequin-Tooth Tiger roaming sleekly through a landscape of these pieces, occasionally losing one of his timber teeth, whereupon I collect it, string it on some silk, and wear it proudly as an amulet.
